I chose the wild rose as my nickname because its symbolic meanings – perseverance and adaptability in the face of adversity, beauty in strength, and exploring possibilities – seemed to describe my best and most true self.   I am a liberal thinker with a feminist bent and a gentle spirit, a wife, mother, (almost) grandmother, daughter, sister, cousin and friend.  Having spent the bulk of my career as an accountant for high tech start-up ventures, I am now exploring new and more meaningful ways to use my skills and knowledge.
